How to activate DreamScene in Windows 7
Everyone who ever used Windows Vista Ultimate operating system probably knows about the utility called DreamScene. Using DreamScene allows you
to install as wallpaper optimized animations or video files like wmvs, mpegs or so. This feature was removed from Windows 7 due to intense resources and energy consumption.
But, as usual with Microsoft, the removal was not 'lethal' for DreamScene, so it can be revived again, you guessed, by setting the things right in registry.
The good news is that you do not have to be a registry guru insider to do it, you just need a little cute program called 'Windows 7 DreamScene Activator,
you can download free from here
Once on your hardisk, just run the .exe file as Administrator (log in as Administrator privileges or right click on it, and Run as Administrator).
The program will make any necessary changes to reinstate the dormant DreamScene from your Windows 7 system.
All you have to do is click on Enable DreamScene.
And finally choose you mpeg or wmv file, right click and set as background.
You're done !
